Trainer 2 is maple hardwood court that incorporates 3/8” shock pads, a sleeper system, and a layer of plywood that improves the stability of the floor. This wood flooring option provides the performance characteristics required for basketball as well as shock absorbing properties that add to the comfort of the athlete.
ClutchCourt Trainer 2 is a maple sports flooring system with 3/8” shock pads for comfort of the athlete, a 2” x 3” sleeper system, and a layer of 15/32” plywood for additional support and stability. The surface of the Trainer 2 system is made of quality Northern Maple manufactured by WD Flooring in Wisconsin.
1 – Shock Pads:
These 3/8″ rubber shock pads provide comfort and shock absorption to the Trainer 2 system. They are available in a variety of different constructions with different durometer measurements.
2 – Sleepers:
These 2″ x 3″ supports provide a solid foundation for the Northern Maple flooring on the surface of the system.
3 – Plywood:
This layer consists of two 15/32” sheets of plywood, which offers a stable foundation for the system.

By far the most popular grade option, Second Grade Maple creates an aesthetically unique court by blending some boards with visible grain marks and others that are unmarked.
• Third Grade Maple:
Third Grade Maple is the least expensive of the ClutchCourt maple grades. A majority of the boards included in this grade have distinguishing marks and unique grains, creating a court with distinct character.
