Tarkett Sports & W•D Flooring
A History in Progress: With a combined 200+ years of experience, the partnership between Tarkett Sports and W•D Flooring brings unprecedented quality, innovation, customer service and technical expertise to the world of sports flooring.
The history of W•D Flooring, LLC, like the durability of its products, is one that spans generations. The story dates back to the pioneering years of 1872 and the Great-Great-Grandfather of today’s W•D Flooring president Peter Connor, Robert Connor. The Connor family has been providing hardwood flooring from its sustainably managed hardwood forests ever since W. D. Connor led the world in the practice of sustainable forestry in the early 1900’s.
Today, as one of the largest producers of northern hardwood maple in North America, W•D owns and manages over 40,000 acres of the finest northern hardwoods in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. All of W•D’s product are derived from environmentally conscious practices and are manufactured with the latest up-to-date technology for drying and milling. Both W•D and Tarkett Sports are extremely proud of the fact that its lumber has been produced in a zero percent waste of product environment.
ClutchCourt Hardwood Systems
Trainer 1: Trainer 1 has been designed as a low cost entry level hardwood system that is easy to install. Intended for facilities seeking to accommodate moderate performance levels, the system’s 3/8” Trainer Pad provides for proper levels of shock absorption which help to ensure the safety of the athlete.
Trainer 2: Trainer 2 embodies all the features of Trainer 1 with the addition of a layer of 15/32″ plywood on top of treated sleepers. The addition of this layer promotes increased strength and dimensional stability within the system. The system’s 3/8” Trainer Pad provides for proper levels of shock absorption which help to ensure the safety of the athlete.
Fixed Trainer: Fixed Trainer combines the comfort of the Trainer 2 system with the increased stability of a fixed system. By securing the sleepers to the concrete substrate, Fixed Trainer provides increased levels of dimensional stability for facilities larger than 12,000 sq.ft. or which may experience varying degrees of environmental conditions. The system’s 3/8” Trainer Pad provides for proper levels of shock absorption which help to ensure the safety of the athlete.
Trainer 3: Trainer 3 has been designed to accommodate high levels of athletic traffic and multiple levels of use. With two layers of 15/32” plywood the system has been designed as the most durable and stable of the Trainer systems. The system’s 3/8” Trainer Pad provides for proper levels of shock absorption which help to ensure the safety of the athlete.
Performance: The Performance system is a superior hardwood sports surface that provides for ideal levels of shock absorption, surface friction and ball bounce, making it the perfect system for any facility seeking to accommodate competitive levels of play. Thanks to a scientifically engineered 3/4” CoreCushion Pad, the Performance system not only meets and exceeds sports flooring characteristics.
Performance Anchor: The Performance Anchor system provides for the same excellent performance characteristics as our Performance system, with the added benefit of a fully anchored subfloor. This feature promotes stability for any facility larger than 12,000 sq.ft. or which may be installed in an area where varying degrees of environmental conditions can be expected. Thanks to a scientifically engineered 3/4” CoreCushion Pad, the Performance Anchor system meets and exceeds sports flooring characteristics.
Performance Anchor LP:
Sometimes the circumstances of a project will dictate the height of a court. Performance Anchor LP (Low Profile) was developed to accommodate height requirements while still giving the benefits of the Performance Anchor System.
Performance Anchor Channel: The Clutch Court Performance Anchor Channel System is a true innovation in sports flooring. As a fixed system with continuous resilient channel inserts (made with recycled rubber) and no floating components, Clutch Court Performance offers a “solid” feel without compromising shock absorption. It fairs well under rolling and static loads while at the same time creating more consistent game play and reducing “dead spots” related to stab profile. Prefabricated 4’ x 8’ panels also provide a faster and more uniform installation compared to field constructed systems.
Performance Anchor Continuous Steel Channel: This system offers all of the benefits provided by the Performance Anchor Channel System with the addition of a continuous steel reinforcement. This steel reinforcement further enhances the dimensional stability of the substructure.
Flexlock: The Flexlock system features a unique criss-cross subfloor design which minimizes the reaction to changes in moisture by maximizing the air flow beneath the system. With Tarkett Sports’ foam underlay the system provides the athlete with appropriate levels of shock absorption.
CoreCushion Pad
The CoreCushion line of protective performance padding caters to the highest caliber of sport and fitness. Designed as a premier ¾” shock absorbent pad, Tarkett Sports’ CoreCushion pads promote safety within the system while preserving the energy of the athlete and the integrity of the ball bounce.
CoreCushion’s unique conical shape facilitates the responsive filtration of applied force at the center of impact before returning appropriate amounts of energy to the athlete and system. This scientific advancement enables maximum safety and performance for the athlete.
Trainer Pad
The Trainer Pad is a durable 3/8” protective pad that provides athletes with effective shock absorption, vibration dampening and consistent ball bounce throughout the system. The base layer construction of the Trainer Pad promotes air flow beneath the system contributing to increased consistency and stability of the system.
10-Year Industry Leading Warranty
